Dr. Imran Azam. Endodontic Specialist. BDS (Hons), MClinDent (UCL), MFGDP (UK), RCSEng, MEndoRCSEd

Imran graduated with honours from Royal London Hospital in 2004 where he was awarded the University Gold Medal. He completed his specialist training at the Eastman Dental Hospital UCL where he obtained a Masters in Clinical Dentistry in Endodontology with distinction and won the Dentsply Maillefer Endodontic Prize for the highest clinical and academic achievement. Subsequently he was awarded the Membership in Endodontics with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and is currently registered as a Specialist in Endodontics with the General Dental Council. Prior to specialist training Imran attended the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, The Dawson Centre and The University of Southern California. His rich clinical experience prior to specialisation enables him to understand the challenges faced by general practitioners. Imran is committed to postgraduate education, he is a part-time Clinical Teaching Fellow and an Examiner at the Eastman Dental Institute and is also involved in training new dental graduates. He runs hand-on courses for general practitioners and is regularly invited to give lectures on current trends in endodontics. His clinical work has been published in the latest 4th edition of Endodontics.

Dr. Alex Mustard. Endodontic Specialist BDS MFDS RCSEng MSc(UCL) MEndo RCSEd

Alex Mustard is a Specialist Endodontist from the world renowned Eastman Dental Hospital. He graduated from Glasgow University in 1997 and worked for almost ten years in general dental practice before moving to Kings College London where he worked as a Senior Dental Officer caring for the dental health of children and adults with special needs. In 2008 he entered the MSc programme in Endodontics at the Eastman which he passed with distinction. He was immediately asked to work within the department and over the subsequent 5 years he has treated the most complex Endodontic cases as well as teaching on the MSc, MClinDent and Specialist Training programmes. In 2013 his work was recognised by patients and peers when he became the first dentist from 12,000 members of UCLH staff to be a finalist for the Celebrating Excellence Kindness to Patients award. At the awards ceremony I was humbled to be described as having “the heart of a true clinician and teacher who treats his patients with the utmost care and attention”. Alex continues to teach at the Eastman Dental Hospital and is a Member of the Board of Examiners for the MSc, MClinDent and Specialist Endodontic Training Programmes. He has a Membership in Endodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, which is recognised as the highest qualification available within the specialty. Alex welcomes referrals for all forms of Endodontic treatment and has a particular interest in the management of complex cases and the outcome of non- surgical root canal treatment.

Lisa Thomas

Dental Nurse & Practice Manager: GDC Registration No: 194905

Lisa has been a dental nurse since 2008 and has worked with Imran as an Endodontic nurse since 2010. Lisa’s reliability and organisation enables her to do a great job in looking after the day to day running of the practice. She enjoys being a key player of the Cedars Endo team. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her young son, family, healthy eating and exercising at the gym.

Suzie Hart

Patient Co-ordinator

Suzie started work as a dental nurse and has worked in prestigious practices in both Henley and Reading. She gave up nursing to look after her two beautiful daughters. Suzie now works as our patient co-ordinator and is happy to answer any dental related queries patients may have.
